Following representations made by me to Minister for Transport, Paschal Donohoe TD, to highlight the need for the Luas Red Line to run an extended Christmas schedule, I'm delighted to let all Red Line customers know that the Luas will be offering a late night service on the weekends of the 11th/12th and the 18th/19th of December, with the last Luas departing Dublin City Centre at 3.30am.

Following the meeting that I had with Butterfield residents last Wednesday night, in relation to the 15 bus route, I have contacted the Operations Manger of Dublin Bus on this issue and have requested a meeting to try and get a agreement on the 15 bus route to incorporate Butterfield Avenue on some buses throughout the day.

Funding Confirmed To Tackle Flood Risk

South Dublin County Council has confirmed the allocation of funding to tackle flood risk in the lower estates particularly those estates off the Ballycullen Road, whose homes were damaged or nearly destroyed as a result of the heavy rainfalls in October 2011. Sourcing the funding was helped by my colleague former Minister and now MEP Brian Hayes, with the OPW committing to paying approximately one third of the estimated costs following completion.

Bohernabreena Cemetery to be made safer with CCTV cameras.
Following strong representations by me and a number of community groups with South Dublin County Council concerning the high increase from thefts from cars.It has been agreed that the council will include adequate funding in the 2016-2018 capital programme to fund the installation of CCTV in the cemetery.

If you require a tree removal,pruning or planting,please email amdermody@cllrs.sdublincoco.ie or text 0872264226 with your your address, stating your requirements. I will then contact the parks department on your behalf. Priority will be given to the following:
- Dead or damaged trees
- Trees in very close proximity to public lighting columns
- Trees associated with lifting footpaths
