I'm calling on the National Roads Authority (NRA) and Minister for Transport Paschal Donohoe TD, to introduce a dedicated rapid response unit along Dublin's M50 motorway.

Lives could be saved and chaos avoided by having such a unit.
The old tollbooth would be an ideal site for the location of this Rapid Response Unit. The fire services, Gardai and paramedics should be located 24/7 at this location. The full-time presence of the Gardai would have dual roll of combating speeding and stopping criminal gangs that frequently use the motorway.

Having such a unit would pay for itself if you consider the cost to lives and business.
